"Both read the same Bible and pray to the same God, and each invokes His aid against the other. It may seem strange that any men should dare to ask a just God's assistance in wringing their bread from the sweat of other men's faces, but let us judge not, that we be not judged." --Abraham Lincoln, Second Inaugural Address

I am a true liberal. You could call me a Democrat, a Green or even a Socialist, depending upon your views. I believe in economic justice, financial security and transparency (not fear or loopholes), defense (not offense), the environment and The Constitution, including the Second Amendment.

What was the best political experience you've had?
I enjoyed caucusing for the first time in 2004 and then participating as a local delegate for the Dennis Kucinich campaign. Even moreso, in 2005, although less political and more civic, I served as an alternate juror, and was shocked by how much I enjoyed it, and by how important it felt to honor one's jury duty.

Without naming names, what was the worst political experience you've had?
Listening to a certain President's State of the Union address, and listening to his supporters chanting "Four more years, four more years!", but, when you closed your eyes, it almost sounded like "War war war! War war war!".

What was your first political protest/demonstration/rally? How old were you?
I was always apolitical... or not of the activist mentality. But in 2001 (I believe), the National Socialists, aka the Nazis, from Wisconsin, were allowed to take over the steps of the Minnesota Capitol for a rally for an afternoon. (How can you deny entry to a public building like that under the guise of free speech by an out-of-state group?) So, in turn, I chose to protest, both in political opposition to the National Socialists, as well as in defiance of mainstream politicians and media, some of whom had the audacity to suggest that people were better off not protesting and would better attend the State Fair instead!
