Have you ever been a member of another political party besides your current party?
I have not always been a card-carrying Republican, but as long as I've been of voting age I have tended toward the conservative side of the political spectrum. I have gone through many stages in my lifetime, but when I started to study the issues and learned about our government's role as expressed in our Constitution, as well as the principles that our country was founded upon, I became more political. The natural progession after adopting a love of the USA and studying the works of our founding fathers led me toward a conservative point of view. I became a Republican more as a result of a distaste for the Democratic Party and it's illogical answers as to what our country needs. I couldn't kind myself agreeing with any of their key issues, as they were mostly based on flawed reasoning that would lead America away from our country's founding principles.

In your dream world, which candidate/elected official would you most like to work for and why?
Ronald Reagan, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington were all great Presidents that I would be honored to work for.

What was the best political experience you've had?
I was a member of my college's College Republicans and got to meet some good people while working for a good cause.

Describe your ultimate dream vacation.
There are lots of great vacations, such as beaches, sporting events, historical attractions, and so on, but one unique dream of mine is to travel Route 66 (what is left of it) from Chicago all the way to it's end at the Santa Monica Pier.

Who was the first president you voted for?
My first election came less than 2 months after I turned 18, and I voted for George W. Bush in the 2000 election. I had considered voting for Pat Buchanan, as I really liked what he had to say, but eventually settled on Bush before the election.

What was your first political protest/demonstration/rally? How old were you?
I don't know if I was dragged to some Democratic rallies when I was really little or not (I decended from an influential family in the St. Louis City Democrat machine), but the first one I remember was a nice little Republican rally after the homecoming parade in college.

What really makes you happy?
I am a big sports fan, and I love seeing my favorite teams in action. Unfortunately, my teams are spread out all over the country... Los Angeles Kings hockey, Kansas City Royals baseball, and University of Alabama football are all important to me. I also like to follow my alma mater (Southeast Missouri State)

What is your favorite ice cream?
I used to like the rainbow sherbert at Baskin-Robbins, but they changed it. I did really like this one called "birthday cake" that had real cake pieces in it.

Who is your favorite candidate/elected official? (can be alive or dead)
Ronald Reagan, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington are all favorites of mine.
