The Young Democrats of America (YDA) is the largest youth-led partisan political organization that builds strong chapters and a solid youth voting bloc for Democrats nationwide.
As the official youth arm of the Democratic Party, YDA mobilizes young people under the age of 36 to participate in the electoral process, influence the ideals of the Democratic Party and develops the skills of the youth generation to serve as leaders at the local and national level. YDA has 43 chartered states and US territories with over 1,500 local chapters. Our 150,000 plus membership reflects the broad diversity of our nation and the Democratic Party. |

Young Voter Revolution Continues in Nevada
Young voters in Nevada demonstrated overwhelming enthusiasm for Democratic candidates in today’s caucus. “Young people from all walks of life – students, young workers, parents, and young people from diverse communities – turned out for the Nevada caucuses today,” said Alexandra Acker, Executive Director of the Young Democrats of America. “The road to the White House goes through the West and our Democratic candidates made a concerted effort to reach this crucial demographic in Nevada because they know young voters will provide the margin of victory not only in the primary but in November.”
