Have you ever been a member of another political party besides your current party?
No. I was born a Democrat.

Without naming names, what was the worst political experience you've had?
As with many things, the worst and the best went hand in hand. In 2003 I began volunteering for a Presidential Candidate. During that campaign I met a group of terrific people (most of whom are among my closest friends today) but the campaign ended terribly. I still believe that candidate would have a been a great president but those last days of his campaign were dark and sad days for me and many of my close friends.

What do you do when you're not trying to change the world?
Laundry.

What does it take to be a part of your friends network?
Authenticity.

What was your first political protest/demonstration/rally? How old were you?
Anti-war rallies on the University of Michigan campus - I was about 12 or so.

In your dream world, which candidate/elected official would you most like to work for and why?
Lana Pollack (from Michigan) or Nan Orrock because they are authentic, bold, brave, women who stand up for important issues at the local level.

Describe your ultimate dream vacation.
| A month with my sweet Jeezy in a remote cottage in southwestern France, a pile of John LeCarre books, plenty of jazz on the iPod. OR.
Two weeks each in Paris, New York and San Francisco - first class hotels and restaurants. OR.
A month in Malta. |

What really makes you angry?
Injustice. Greed. Baggers who mishandle my groceries. When something goes wrong exactly the way I predicted it would but I failed to prevent it.

What is your favorite ice cream?
Mint Oreo cookie.

What was the best political experience you've had?
As a teenager (before I could vote) I helped a crew of dynamic idealists who were on city council and mayor of Ann Arbor MI. At the time Ann Arbor was a three-party system - Democrats, Republicans (not many) and The Human Rights Party. It was an inspirational and rewarding time - most of the candidates I helped won - and I witnessed their effects on our local government.

What is your earliest memory?
I can't say. Being the youngest in my family there are so many events that have been reported to me or that I have seen photos of, I couldn't possibly know if I truly remember.

Who was the first president you voted for?
Jimmy Carter

What really makes you happy?
Having the time to entertain friends in our home. I dig the whole thing - the people, the food, the dishes, the music, the table linens. And to make me *really* happy - a long game of charades after dinner.
